spaceaustralian replied to your post: Quiet at the club tonight. A nice change.

Still grumpy are we? It’s a surprise you still sit in there with the amount you complain.

Well, it looks like you’ve improved your sense of humour, Lawson, even if it is at my expense. I’ll let your comment slide this one time, just for that.

You’ve resolved your Shadow Broker business, yes? His—or her—agents’ attempts to infiltrate my ring have been rather weak as of late. But it would be better if maybe if you just told the Broker not to bother. I’ll always find the spies sooner or later and it’ll be less trouble for the both of us if he just stopped altogether.

Say hello to Doctor T’Soni for me. She’ll have to excuse me for not taking her up on her…offer. She’ll know what I mean.

Having a sense of humour keeps me sane around Shepards crew. So I do let it shine outside of the confindes on the Normandy from time to time..

Do you even need to ask about the Shadow Broker though? You’re just as bad with your circles of information brokers, no doubt the news would have reached you almost immediately, Aria. Or do I over-estimate your ability?

And by ‘outside of the confines of the Normandy’, are you referring to you being on the run from Cerberus? I’m sure your new found sense of humour is being put to good use while you’re in exile. As is mine, if I might say so myself.

And Lawson, please. While I’m pleased you think so highly of my information net, your attempt at discrediting it is pathetic. Don’t forget that I’m the one who helped point you to the direction of the Broker. It’s enough that I figured out that you finished with your issues with the Shadow Broker. You don’t see anyone else with that information, do you?

It’s not so difficult for me to add everything up myself: Shepard has an inside with a lot of new toys, doesn’t she? Toys that belonged to the previous Shadow Broker?

Credit is given where it is due, and I’m certainly not taking yours away from you. I’m aware you pointed us in the right direction, and of course I’m greatful, for that and for not pointing me out to various officials who happen to be watching this club. Considering they have their eyes peeled for everything Cerberus at the moment.

However onto the subject of Shepard.. Of course she has new toys to play with on the Normandy, Aria. When you’re tied to the Shadow Broker then you’ll be allowed to access alot of new tech.

Here is some concept art for the Mass Effect comic me and BlackLion310 are working on (he is drawing, and I’m writing).

Lets blame Aria for this.

Miranda just sighs at Shepard, though she’s smiling which is obviously a big change as she shouts over to the Commander “You haven’t earned the nickname privlages just yet Shepard! Atleast not in battle situations!” She then takes point from Shepards area of cover, heading up the gangway, each of her shots deadly and spot on, Mercenary after Mercenary falling to the Cerberus Operative. The last one standing was the Mercenary Leader, Enyala.

She gets a shot straight through Miranda’s shoulder, who obviously isn’t to happy about it when she slows down and holds onto the wound, shouting to Shepard “Stay there!” a couple of the biotics show up and start throwing blasts in their direction now that their enemies firing arm was down. Like a professional though, she sprints forward, dodging one blast then suddenly shooting forward in a blast of blue biotic energy, and in true Commander Shepard style fist meets face when she reaches Enyala, something cracking as the Merc hits the ground, the others dropping their weapons and legging it.

“That’ll teach you to mess with my family..”

Shepard looks quite frankly shocked that Miranda was smiling at her and taking a few pot shots at the Mercs to keep them busy whilst Miranda makes her way up there and shouting after her. “Outside of them then?! Well colour me happy then! Watch yourself! She’s making her way to you now!” Shepard shoulders her rifle as she makes her way up there with a smirk on her face now as she gets there just in time for Miranda to be shot in the shoulder and the Commander instantly loses her smirk and replaces it with a look of worry and panic.

Starting to prepare some medi-gel for Miranda as she advances forward but suddenly stops as Miranda tells her to and looking confused for a moment but her moment of retaliation goes short lived when Miranda does something quite frankly more like Shepard than herself and mows down the Merc leader in that spectacular way. It would be rather funny to see Shepard stood there looking dumbfounded with her heart almost exploding out of her chest from the sheer excitement of Miranda making such a move. Swallowing hard, she strolls up to Miranda and blushes slightly from all of the absolute glee she was feeling at the moment.

“Wow…Miri…I don’t know what to say, that was just…About a starships worth of sexy all in one go and you’re still going…I think someone has been watching me a little too much.” Though her eyes strobe to that shoulder wound now and she starts to apply the medi-gel to it, glancing up into those biotically charged blue eyes with a smirk on her face. “Hey gorgeous…Any other surprises you want to give me? Or are we going to get your sister off this planet safely?” Shepard of course cannot resist now that they are this close to give Miranda a quick kiss on the lips as she finishes up…Nothing really changes it seems…

Miranda accepts that kiss from Shepard and lets her patch up her shoulder “Mm it wasn’t really anything special Shepard. It’s just biotics, you should have been used to this by now with the amount of biotic users you’ve probably encountered..” though afterwards she walks into the lift with the commander, tapping away at the panel on it’s wall, letting out a sigh and leaning her head against it “I can’t believe Niket sold me out like that..”

Miranda stands up and shakes her head, her back to Shepard “I didn’t see it coming.. Shepard why didn’t you let me kill him!? I could’ve handled it, but instead I had to watch that Asari bitch do it instead.” she glances back at Shepard, her expression changing immediatly “It was always like this, my father using things like this against me. It was always a plan, give me anything I want for a reason. When I ran I threw it all away. Except Niket.. mistake on my part.”

I have to go.: spaceaustralian: Miranda goes a brighter shade of red than before, the...

Shepard nods to Miranda now with her appraisal of her plan and she was about to go when she realised that Miranda has a firm grip on her arms, those shots only just reaching her ears were muted now as she looks back to Miranda’s eyes for a few moments as shots ping across from behind the cover with the mercenaries encroaching towards their cover. Though Shepard was not noticing any of this as her own lips tremble as Miranda’s come close to her own and finally seal that kiss between them and almost blushing as red as the woman herself.

Letting out a small squeal of pleasure, she holds Miranda’s hips that she admired so much and enjoys that small moment between them which felt like a lifetime to this young Commander. So much work had been put in by her, she had tried to make herself plain to Miranda and finally she had a small part of her reward but she cannot help but feel a little disappointment as Miranda pulls away but she does harbour such an affectionate smile as they do. “After that, how could I do anything else? Let’s get to work…Miri…” She says before diving out of cover and taking a few rifle shots at the mechs now assaulting their position and giving the thumbs up to Miranda along with that smirk the woman would know so well. “Go get ‘em panda! I’ll keep you covered!”

Ironically, just as she says that; the mercenary leader finally makes her way to Shepard and fires off that shotgun but did not anticipate that sudden shockwave from her assault armour and is blasted back into the containers, recieving a few shots from Shepard’s rifle before she dives back into cover. “You bitch! Do you honestly think you’ll get away with this?! My people will hunt you down!” Shepard just laughs at that before she slams her fist into one of the Mercs charging her and breaks his helmet cleanly through, thanking Miranda in her head for the cybernetics in her body as she says. “I’m Commander Shepard and this is my favourite threat on Illum! Bring it you skank, like hell I am letting you lay a finger on Miri’s FAMILY!” She shouts before the leader has to dive again as Shepard kicks one of the containers right into her cover…
